Science Fair Judges needed: King Science and Technology Magnet Center Science Fair. Date: Tuesday, December 8, 2009 Time: one hour or more, between 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Greetings Potential Judges,
We would like to invite the AMS members to participate as judges for the King Science and Technology Magnet Center Science Fair.
Students appreciate the chance to share their projects with you. The judging process allows students to practice sharing what they have learned, a skill that is necessary for success in their futures.
This year the fair will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 with a snow date of Thursday, December 10, 2009 at King Science and Technology Magnet Center, 3720 Florence Blvd. Judging will be for 7th and 8th Grade only.

1.. At the Metro Omaha Science and Engineering Fair, in Omaha, NE we recognized: · First Place award: "Whether Weather Worsens Mood ", Sara G., 8th grade, Trinity Christian. Award: Weather book, and certificate of achievement.
· Second Place award: "Transporting Solar Power Through Fiber Optics", David S., 10th grade, Omaha North. Award: (non-programmable) NOAA weather radio and certificate of achievement.
· Third Place : "How does the Wavelength of a Light Affect a Solar Panel’s Output? Jack P., 7th grade, St. Cecilia. Award: certificate of achievement.
· Honorable Mention (tie) : “Gassy Waters" Emily G., 8th grade, Buffett Middle School, and "Which Insulation Works the Best?, Micheala P., 7th grade, St. Cecilia. Awards: certificate of achievement.
